This client is based outside of London in Colchester, Essex and an established weekend retreat on Airbnb. Following enquiries for guests to host weddings at the venue it was clear there was a need for social media support and marketing.
The barn had no social media presence and so the initial task was to create accounts and start to increase the posts and visuals. A strong social media presence is essential, as most couples will be using social media as their main resource for inspiration and suppliers. Social media is also used extensively by the whole Wedding Industry and so it is imperative to have a good strong presence.
Project Solution
The solution to this client’s problem was social media marketing and presence.As a new entity on these platforms one of the biggest aims was to grow both accounts – especially Instagram. In 6 months I grew the instagram account from 0 followers to 1,762+ followers organically without paid advertising.
Organic traffic enabled contact from interested couples for 2020 & 2021 however, this alone was only part of what I had to offer. Once we started advertising on Instagram and Facebook the client started to see the true power of social media advertising. Before, we started any advertising campaign I installed a Facebook pixel which will allow me to track activity on their website which in turn enabled me to re-target the potential customers who were most likely to book but did not the first time around.
The campaigns I run for this venue are mainly lead generation campaign, however, during the winter months the venue goes through a slower period of business. I am now working closely with them to put on regular events such as their “Gin Appreciation Society”. We recently had our first event which was fully sold out by using social media marketing.
I continue to work closely with the owners to generate more revenue but also to produce high quality content for their Facebook and Instagram accounts. As well as thinking about new and popular events they can run through the slower months.
